We see a lot of trailers which we are told ‘I had my trailer serviced by a reputable dealer’ or ‘They came out and serviced my trailer, it was excellent value’ a lot of the time.
So, when we see these trailers and upon stripping them down for a thorough service, we often report to the owner with a ‘live’ video showing them the skipped process of that ‘excellent value’ service really was, and the dangers it could cause.
The video here shows excessive use of copper grease where it is not needed, and not taking off the brake shoes or adjusters to ensure the relevant lubrication is applied.
Yes, other service centres service trailers in their own way, but skimping and charging for the pleasure is simply not moral. A trailer is a large dangerous object, and if that service is not complete who knows what could happen!
